So, I was checking out my favorite website, the Wrigley Field webcam, as I do so often, and tonight, much to my horror, I discovered that someone has intentionally and horribly defaced The Friendly Confines. What are those big, disgusting billboard size photos doing on the outside walls of the most sacred stadium in sports?

So, now I suppose the pristine historic outside walls, right next to the iconic marquee are a ‘revenue stream’? I certainly have to wonder who sponsors those gigantic, gaudy, unnecessary images…or, better yet, who is about to.
This is not US Cellular Park…or whatever the hell they tenderly call that soulless monstrosity on the South Side. This is Wrigley motherloving Field and big cheesy ‘action shots’ on the walls, placed specifically to prove how ‘moveable’ that ad inventory is, are most unwelcome.
