McGwire sheepishly claims he wishes he “never played in the steroid era”. WHAT?!? Boo-freaking-hoo. He didn’t just play “in the steroid era”, Mark McGwire DEFINED the steroid era. Mark McGwire effectively IS the steroid era. Guys started juicing (including Barry Bonds) because they saw the phenomenal success of McGwire and jealousy got the best of them.
This guy still doesn’t get it, in my opinion.
