Intro & Round 1:
Round 2:
Round 3 & Walker interview:
I don’t personally begrudge anyone for their taste in the athletic endeavors they may support. For instance, I’m told some people like soccer. I never quite saw the appeal, but to each his, or hers, own.
So, when it comes to Mixed Martial Arts, I have become relatively ambivalent. I think they could use a better spokesman than Dana White, and since I don’t see 50 year old guys screaming for a couple of kids effectively wrestling in a cage, the sport might yet prove to be the Beanie Babies of pro athletics.
That being said, please don’t wail and scream about amazing your sport is and then dump this lackluster deuce in our collective lap when we are finally watching. A gifted American athlete like Herschel Walker shouldn’t be reduced to this. I’ll put it in boring perspective for you…this was like watching a nil-nil soccer match. This was like watching a 1-0 Little League game and Herschel was the kid in right field kicking his glove. This is like Manute Bol playing hockey.
