What a great day to be a former or current Chiefs RB from UT!
The Chiefs cut Larry Johnson today allegedly for using gay slurs on Twitter, insulting fans and questioning head coach Todd Haley’s football credentials, but really because Jamaal Charles is just much, much cooler. (Hook ‘em!)
I think this really proves the power fans hold with some NFL franchises. Johnson was the subject of an online petition begun by fans who didn’t want someone of his dubious ilk to become the franchise’s all-time leading rusher, which would in turn lead to inclusion in the Arrowhead Stadium ‘Ring of Fame’. The Chiefs may totally blow, but this is definitely a step in the right direction.
