Amid rumors circling that El Rushbo is about to get bounced out of Dave Checketts group vying to potentially bid on the St. Louis Rams franchise, Limbaugh made a puzzling statement on his radio show Wednesday.
“I’m not even thinking of exiting,” Limbaughmbastic said, “I’m not even thinking of caving. I am not a caver. None of us are. We have been betrayed by too many who have caved. Pioneers take the arrows. We are pioneers. It’s a sad thing but our country over 200 years old now needs pioneers all over again, but we do.”
I love how Limbaugh doesn’t even know he was used by Checketts to help publicize his bid. Dave Checketts is an ϋber-savvy sports executive. He KNOWS very well that Rush Limbaugh would never be allowed even preliminary inclusion in a bid. Yet Checketts suckered Limbaugh into believing he could me a major part of the NFL ownership fraternity. Now, even if the Rams aren’t up for sale, Checketts is the only person we know is even in the bidding. Freaking brilliant. Dave Checketts must know that you call tell drug addicts almost anything.
And as to the “pioneer” comment, that’s nothing but…as the prolific Ed Schultz would say…psycho talk!
