Tennessee owner Bud Adams called Sunday's 59-0 loss to the the low point in Titans/Oilers franchise history, but said he's not going to make any drastic changes during the season.
“If we end up losing every game or don’t look better, I’d have to look at that pretty hard, you know what I mean?” Adams said referring to head coach Jeff Fisher’s job status. “The way it is going, I don’t know if we’ll win any games, and that is unheard of in the National Football League.
“Right now, it’s as bad as I’ve seen it, and that’s a long time. I’ve never had a team start out like this. We had the best record in the NFL last year. I can’t understand it.”
Umm…how about in 2007 when the Dolphins lost the first 13 games of the season? Or say, LAST FRIGGIN’ YEAR, when the Lions lost every single game? Looks like Bud may need to start doubling up on the Aricept.
I was living in Tennessee in 1997 when Adams moved the Oilers to Nashville. He claimed he was gonna change that little sliver of red in the then Oilers logo/uniforms to ‘Volunteer orange’ to help facilitate the building of a new stadium. I wonder of the rednecks I knew back then have ever forgiven him for not doing so? I seriously doubt it. (tennessean)
