Texas defensive tackle Lamarr Houston was suspended for this Saturday’s game at Texas El-Paso after his arrest on a misdemeanor DWI charge a few hours after the Longhorns beat Florida Atlantic 52-10.
To paraphrase the great Sgt. Hulka, it appears the Austin police don't care where you come from, they don’t care what color you are, they don’t care how smart you are, they don’t care how dumb you are…and they sure as holy hell don’t care where you play(ed) college football. Right, Ced Benson?
We remember once in the early 90’s when an Austin cop told us, outside a 6th St. joint, just to make sure we poured our beer into a to-go cup, which he called a ‘driver’. Nice. Looks like times have changed in the Texas state capital.
