So, now the Bengals receiver formerly known as ‘Johnson’ is demanding to be addressed as ‘Chad Ocho Cinco’ according to ProFootballTalk.
Even though NFL.com still refers to the player by his given name, his scumbagent Drew Rosenhaus wants us to believe Chad is serious about this weak marketing scheme name change.
“Chad is Chad Ocho Cinco,” Rosenhaus told Sprint Exclusive Entertainment. “You can call him Chad or you can call him Ocho Cinco. He is no longer Chad Johnson. He is Chad Ocho Cinco. That is his legal name and he would like to be referred to that now by the media and his friends and even family. He’s serious about that.”
Sure he is, Drew.
We’re 100% sure that Ocho Cinco feels this will help him sell a new batch of jerseys, of which players get a nice slice of the pie.
Somewhere in Michigan, the former Cassius Clay…a true American hero, who changed his name for moral, ethical & holy reasons…is spinning in his Parkinson’s induced grave.
