Best news ever for Plaxico owners? New contract is mostly incentive based.
Adam Schefter of NFL.com is reporting that Plaxico Burress’ last minute contract deal is based almost entirely on his performance and participation in off-season practices/minicamps. Of the reported 5 year/ $30M deal, only the $4.25M signing bonus is guaranteed.
Basically it means if Plax…who loves him his moolah…wants to earn, he has to put up big numbers and go to practice.
