Joe Gibbs replaces Tony Stewart with 18 year old punk.
Joey Logano officially was named the driver of the No. 20 Home Depot car at Joe Gibbs Racing on Monday.
Logano will replace Tony Stewart, who is leaving after this season to be the co-owner of Stewart-Haas Racing.
The 18-year-old phenom not only will inherit the number and sponsor that Stewart drove to Sprint Cup titles in 2002 and 2005, but will also score Stewart’s championship crew chief, Greg Zipadelli.
We’re sure Gibbs is secretly happy to be replacing a surly, sourpuss, pain-in-the-ass with the presence of NASCAR’s ‘face of the future’ in Logano.
Stewart’s time is over anyway. He’s old, fat and grumpy. Carl Edwards is now and he puts people into the wall with towheaded good looks, a big, toothy grin and refreshing, hilarious honesty.
