Let’s face it, Michael Phelps is going to be one of the huge stories of the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. He’s gonna win a bunch of gold medals…and possibly break Mark Spitz’ record of 7 in a single Olympics.
He’s still just a kid of course, but c’mon….doesn’t he have a PR person or a media flack or even just a friend to tell him that his new Fu’ Manchu will be a part of the pictures of this event for the rest of his life?
Perhaps it’s just a tribute to new HOFer Goose Gossage? Maybe we should call him Goose Phelps. Although, after a certain transcendent movie…being called ‘Goose’ was never cool again. Goose was Maverick’s wingman. Goose dies.
