Johnny Damon busts up his shoulder in freak play.

New York Yankee OF Johnny Damon had to be removed from the game with a bruised shoulder after running into the outfield wall going after a ball against his former team, the Boston Red Sox, on Independence Day at Yankee Stadium

The ball, off the bat of the douchey Kevin Youkilis, actually sat atop the outfield wall for a couple of seconds before spinning back into play.

Youkilis got a two-run triple and Damon got the MRI machine as the Red Sox won to take the first two games of a four game set in the Bronx.
