First Brian Bosworth…now Terrell Owens is a bystander hero!
Who would have thunk it?
It seems that ESPN.com Page 2 writer Sam Alipour learned the hard way that the guy one former sportswriter on his own network calls ‘Team Obliterator’ is a genuine, caring dude.
After the ESPY’s the other night, Alipour was hit by a car (nice.) and when he came to after a few seconds, he lifted his head up and the first person he saw was none other than Terrell Owens, looking worried and instructing, “Don’t move. Just sit there. Breathe. Don’t move.”
Read the rest of Alipour’s account of the incident here.
Now, we’ve admittedly been pretty rough on ‘ol T.O. He’s been a douchebag most of his life and teammates from Chattanooga to Philly have despised him almost to a man.
But he seems to be a changed man in Dallas. None of the legendary Clubhouse Cancer whispers have surfaced, and indeed it seems the opposite is the case. He is lauded as a great teammate and a patient mentor to the younger players.
Perhaps Dallas should pick up Cedric Benson and have him learn how to treat teammates under the tutelage of the great comeback guru Terrell Owens.
We still have a couple of questions though, T.O.
