Cito Gaston back in charge of Blue Jays.
The Toronto Blue Jays became the third team this week to fire their manager, relieving John Gibbons of his duties along with coaches Marty Pevey, Ernie Whitt and Gary Denbo, the team said Friday.
The team announced that legendary Blue Jays manager Cito Gaston will return to the team in the same capacity he held from 1989 to 1997 winning stunning back-to-back world championships in the ‘pre-steroid’ era.
Cito, who rocks one of the sweetest ‘staches in sports history is, quite frankly, a baseball genius and an overall good egg, quite the opposite of the super-douche he replaces.
He should be terrific for these Blue Jays.
