Big Papi gains American citizenship.
Boston Red Sox superstar and former AL MVP David Ortiz became a U.S. citizen Wednesday with 220 other immigrants from 57 countries at a ceremony at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library.
We knew Ortiz back in ‘97 when he was a much skinnier kid playing with the Class ‘A’ Ft. Myers Miracle for the Twins.
He was a good guy then and he’s a good American now.
