Vince Young claims he mulled retirement.
The Tennessee Titans 2006 ROY told NFL.com in an interview posted on Memorial Day that he actually considered retirement after his rookie season.
“I really thought long and hard about it,” Young told “There was so much going on with my family. It was crazy being an NFL quarterback. It wasn’t fun anymore. All of the fun was out of it. All of the excitement was gone. All I was doing was worrying about things.”
“My teammates helped lift me out of it. I prayed really hard. And I began to focus on God’s calling for me. Play football. Be a role model.”
Role model, you say? These pics posted on blogxilla.com a couple of weeks ago show things in a tad different light. Drunk and shirtless in a club with no women around(???) is...umm...perhaps not the ideal image of a superstar NFL QB. (See: Romo, Tony; Brady, Tom; Leinart, Matt; Namath, Joe, etc. etc.)
Nobody loves VY like Clubhouse Cancer, but c’mon dude…without football you’re signing ‘graphs and selling weed in Austin for the rest of your mentally challenged, athletically brilliant life.
Hook ‘em, baby!
