BoSox catcher Jason Varitek has now caught more no-hitters, 4, than any other player major league history.
Before Monday night, Varitek caught no-hitters from Hideo Nomo in 2001, Derek Lowe in '02 and Clay Buchholz last Sept. 1.
Varitek has long been the ‘straw that stirs the drink’ in Boston. He just might get to Cooperstown someday…probably a Veteran’s Committee inductee, though.
