Iron Mike Tyson is the toast of Canne.
The documentary Tyson, directed by his old friend James “Fingers” Toback (could a friend of Mike’s have any other name?) is the story of Mike’s life, as told directly to the camera in the first person, with media clips of Mike’s life woven throughout.
The film, which Tyson originally opposed at every turn, has been the overwhelming superstar of the 2008 Canne Film Festival.
Who would have thought a documentary about the life and sexual exploits of Mike Tyson would receive nothing but standing ovations and worldwide acclaim?
