The 3rd overall pick in the 2008 NFL Draft, Matt Ryan signed a $72 million, six-year contract with the Atlanta Falcons on Tuesday, ending concerns that prolonged negotiations could threaten his status as Atlanta’s newest ‘franchise’ player.
Ryan is a big ‘ol stud, no doubt, but the Falcons are utterly weaponless and unless more real talent is added at the skill positions, Ryan will have a long, uneventful rookie season.
